Crustless Milk Tart

Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs, Separated
  • 250ml Sugar
  • 25ml Butter (or Margarine), Melted
  • 1l Milk
  • 250ml Cake Flour
  • 5ml Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 ml Salt

Method

  1. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar, add the melted butter or margarine.
  2. Sift the dry ingredients together, and add alternately with milk to egg and sugar mixture.
  3. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the mixture.
  4. Pour into a greased ovenproof dish and bake at 180 deg. C for 1 hour.
  5. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon or nutmeg.
  6. Serve with cream.
