Granadilla Cordial Refreshing drink for hot days
Ingredients
- 500 ml sugar
- 500 ml water
- 125 ml fresh lemon juice
- 250 ml granadilla pulp, +- 8 - 9 granadillas
Method
- Bring the sugar and water to the boil while stirring to dissolve sugar.
- Add lemon juice and granadilla pulp.
- Boil uncovered for +- 3 minutes.
- Pour into a jug, leave to cool and blot off any foam from the top with absorbent kitchen paper.
- Pour into sterilised jars and cap.
- Refrigerate.
- To serve, pour generous tots of syrup into tall glasses. Add ice, fill up with still or sparkling water. Add a sprig of mint.
- Note - if preferred, pour through a strainer before bottling to remove pips.
