Crustless Milk Tart Easy milk tart, forms it's own crust.

Ingredients

  • 25 ml melted butter or margarine
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 125 ml sugar
  • 250 ml cake flour
  • 5 ml baking powder
  • 1 ml salt
  • 5 ml vanilla essence
  • 750 ml milk

Method

  • Beat the butter, egg yolks and sugar together well.
  • Sift the dry ingredients together and fold into the first mixture.
  • Stir in the milk and vanilla.
  • Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites and pour mixture into a baking dish, approximately 30 cm x 19 cm and 4 cm deep.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  • Bake immediately at 190 degrees C for 40 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
