Rum & Butter Icing Rum flavoured icing for cakes
Ingredients
- 125 g butter or margarine
- 500 g icing sugar
- 1 tsp (5 ml) rum essence
- OR
- 1 dessertspoonful (10 ml) of rum
- orange juice
Method
- Soften butter or margarine.
- Add up to 500g icing sugar gradually, mixing well after each addition.
- Add rum essence or rum.
- Slowly add enough orange juice to achieve spreading consistency.
- (Might work well with pineapple juice)
