Peanut Butter Biscuits Simple easy biscuits

Ingredients

  • 115 g margarine or vegetable fat
  • 115 g (1/2 cup) peanut butter
  • 125 ml white sugar
  • 125 ml brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 312 ml (1 1/4 cups) cake flour
  • 1 ml salt
  • 2.5 ml bicarbonate of soda
  • 62 ml milk

Method

  • Beat the margarine, peanut butter and sugar until light.
  • Add the egg and blend well.
  • Sift together the flour and salt and add.
  • Dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in the milk and add. Mix well.
  • Shape by hand into balls, the size of walnuts, and press them down lightly on a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake in a slow oven at 150 degrees C for 15 minutes, until light brown.
  • Cool on a wire cooler and store in tightly closed containers.
  • NB - This recipe will make about 5 dozen biscuits.
