Peanut Butter Biscuits Simple easy biscuits
Ingredients
- 115 g margarine or vegetable fat
- 115 g (1/2 cup) peanut butter
- 125 ml white sugar
- 125 ml brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 312 ml (1 1/4 cups) cake flour
- 1 ml salt
- 2.5 ml bicarbonate of soda
- 62 ml milk
Method
- Beat the margarine, peanut butter and sugar until light.
- Add the egg and blend well.
- Sift together the flour and salt and add.
- Dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in the milk and add. Mix well.
- Shape by hand into balls, the size of walnuts, and press them down lightly on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake in a slow oven at 150 degrees C for 15 minutes, until light brown.
- Cool on a wire cooler and store in tightly closed containers.
- NB - This recipe will make about 5 dozen biscuits.
